| 1. Check a condition of a belt of a drive of the generator and a pulley on lack of wear, cracks and damages. If necessary, replace a belt of a drive of the generator and / or a pulley. |

2. By the special device measure a tension of a belt of a drive of the generator.
Tension of a belt of a drive of the generator:
New belt: 383–461 N
The belt which was in the use: 304–383 H
Tension of a belt of a drive of the generator and conditioner:
New belt: 491–589 N
The belt which was in the use: 422–491 N |
3. In the absence of the special device, check a belt tension, having pressed on it effort of 98 N (10 kg) in a place located on identical removal from pulleys and measure a belt deflection.

New 8–9 mm

Tension adjustment

| 1. Weaken bolts of fastening of the generator and an adjusting bolt. |

2. Rejecting the generator from the engine, adjust a tension of a belt of a drive of the generator. |
| 3. Tighten all bolts of fastening of the generator and repeatedly check a belt tension. |

Replacement

| 1. At existence, remove a belt of a drive of the pump of the amplifier of a steering and the conditioner compressor. |
| 2. Weaken bolts of fastening of the generator and an adjusting bolt. |
| 3. Remove a belt of a drive of the generator. |
| 4. To establish a new belt of a drive of the generator. |
5. Tighten all bolts of fastening of the generator.
