11.6. Power shaft

GENERAL INFORMATION

Power shaft

1–wheel;
2–a nut with a fillet;
3–stabilizer of cross-section stability;
4–tip of steering draft;
5–spherical hinge of the bottom lever;
6–left power shaft;
7–right power shaft;
8–shaft hinge

Removal


Prevention

Before removal of a power shaft, merge oil from a transmission.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the car and fix on support.
2. Turn out four nuts of fastening of a wheel.
3. Remove a wheel.
4. Unbend a fillet and unscrew a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave and turn out two bolts of fastening of a brake disk.
5. Disconnect an earring of the stabilizer of cross-section stability from the bottom cross-section lever of a forward suspension bracket.

Prevention

Do not damage a dustproof cover.


6. Take шплинт and unscrew a nut of fastening of a pin of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering bent for to a rotary fist. A stripper OK130 283 021 squeeze out a pin of the spherical hinge from a rotary fist.

Prevention

Do not damage a protective cover of the CV JOINT and an oil sealing ring at separation of a power shaft from a transmission.


7. Turn out a coupling bolt, mount wring out the bottom lever down, and separate a hinge pin from a rotary fist.
8. Insert mount between the internal CV JOINT of a power shaft and a transmission and easy blow on mount, take a power shaft from a transmission.
9. Take a power shaft from a nave of a forward wheel.

Prevention

If the power shaft densely sits in a nave of a forward wheel, spray propitochny aerosol solvent on area шлицов and then, repeatedly screw a nut with a fillet so that it settled down flush with a shaft end face. Striking on a nut with a brass hammer, beat out a power shaft from a nave.


10. Striking with a hammer through a brass prutok, separate the hinge of an intermediate shaft from the right power shaft.

11. Turn out three bolts of fastening of the CV JOINT of a power shaft and, having pulled, remove a power shaft.

Installation


Prevention

Do not damage a protective cover of the CV JOINT and an oil sealing ring at installation of a power shaft in a transmission.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish a new lock ring on the internal end of a power shaft. A push, insert a power shaft into a transmission, thus a cut of a lock ring should settle down from above.
2. Establish a clip so that the cut of a clip settled down from above.
3. After installation measure external diameter of a clip and replace it if external diameter exceeds demanded value.

External diameter: 30 mm

4. To establish a shaft of the CV JOINT and fix bolts, in the sequence shown in drawing.

Inhaling moment: 42–62 N • m

5. A push, insert a power shaft on the CV JOINT shaft.
6. After installation, pull a power shaft outside and be convinced that it is reliably fixed by a round clip.
7. Grease a working edge of an oil sealing ring of differential and a push, insert a power shaft into a transmission.

Do not damage a protective cover of the CV JOINT and an oil sealing ring at installation of a power shaft in a transmission.


8. Establish pins of spherical hinges of tips of steering drafts in rotary fists. Screw nuts and new шплинтами, fix them from an otvorachivaniye.

Inhaling moment: 29–44 N • m

9. Freely screw nuts of fastening of an earring of the stabilizer. Finally tighten nuts on the car standing on wheels.

Inhaling moment: 43–61 N • m

10. Screw a new nut with a fillet of fastening of a power shaft and hammer a nut fillet into a groove of a power shaft.

Inhaling moment: 210–279 N • m

11. Establish a wheel and tighten nuts of fastening of a wheel.

Inhaling moment: 88–118 N • m

12. Lower the car.
