Check of effort of turn of a steering wheel
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. On the car standing on a firm horizontal surface, establish forward wheels for rectilinear movement. |
2. Start up the engine and warm up liquid of the amplifier of a steering to temperature 50~60°C. Turn a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop several times. |

3. Leave the engine to work at frequency of rotation of idling and hook on a dynamometer for a spoke of a steering wheel in a place the most remote from the wheel center. With forward wheels established for rectilinear movement measure effort which is necessary for putting to a steering wheel for turn of wheels to the left and to the right. Effort: 31 N (3,2 kg)

4. If the measured effort exceeds demanded value, check liquid level, lack of air in liquids, absence of leaks in hoses and their connections, operation of the pump of the amplifier of a steering both steering transfer, and pressure in tires of forward wheels. |

Check of level of liquid
Prevention
In a hydraulic drive of the amplifier of a steering add only the recommended liquid.
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
|
1. Check that level of liquid is between FULL labels (full) and LOW (low) being on the case of a transparent tank. |
2. If necessary, add or pump out liquid from a tank. |

Pumping of hydraulic system of the amplifier of a steering
Prevention
Do not start up the engine. Lift a forward part of the car and fix on support.
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Check liquid level. |
2. At the idle engine turn a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop several times. |
3. Check liquid level. If level of liquid went down, add liquid. |
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 while level of liquid is not stabilized. |
5. Start up the engine and leave to work at frequency of rotation of idling |

6. Turn a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop several times. |
|
7. Check that liquid does not foam, and its level did not go down. |
8. If necessary, add liquid and repeat steps 6 and 7. |

Check of absence of leakages of liquid
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Start up the engine. |
2. Turn a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop several times to create pressure in hydraulic system of the amplifier of a steering. |
3. Check of absence of leakages of liquid from hydraulic system of the amplifier of a steering. |
Prevention
To exclude damages, do not hold the steering wheel turned against the stop within more than 15 seconds. Leakages of liquid are most possible in junctions of hoses and tubes, and also in places of their connection to a tank and steering transfer.

Check of pressure of liquid in hydraulic system
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
|
1. Collect the device for measurement of pressure of OK201 323 AA0 as is shown in drawing. Inhaling moment: 39–49 N • m
|
2. Disconnect a pressure head hose from the pump and connect the device for measurement of pressure of OK201 323 AA0 between a hose and the pump. |
Prevention
Before a hose detachment, put labels for its correct repeated installation.

3. Remove air from hydraulic system of the amplifier of a steering. |
|
4. Completely open the AA0 device OK201 323 valve. Start up the engine and turn a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop several times for warming up of liquid of the amplifier of a steering to temperature 50~60°C |
Prevention
If the valve to leave the closed during more than 15 seconds, the temperature of liquid will increase excessively and will damage the oil pump.

5. Completely close the valve. Increase frequency of rotation of the engine to 1000-1500 mines-1 and measure the pressure of liquid created by the pump. If pressure is lower demanded, replace the pump of the amplifier of a steering. Pressure of liquid created by the pump of the amplifier of a steering: 7358–7848 kPas

6. Completely open the valve and increase frequency of rotation of the engine to 1000–1500 mines-1. |
7. Turn a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop several times and measure the pressure of liquid created by gear wheels of the pump. If pressure is lower demanded, replace the pump of the amplifier of a steering. Pressure of liquid created by gear wheels of the pump of the amplifier: 7358–7848 kPas

Prevention
If to leave in the situation turned against the stop within more than 15 seconds, the temperature of liquid will increase excessively and will damage the oil pump.

8. Remove the device for measurement of pressure of OK201 323 AA0. Establish on a place and fix a pressure head hose. Tighten hose connection by the demanded moment. Inhaling moment: 39–49 N • m

9. Remove air from hydraulic system of the amplifier of a steering. |
