14.21. Repair of the working brake cylinder

GENERAL INFORMATION

Working brake cylinder

1–dustproof covers to (replace);
2–pistons;
3–a sealing ring of the piston to (replace);
4–spring and plates of a spring;
5–dustproof cap;
6–pumping union;
7–steel ball;
8–case of the working brake cylinder

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check that all details pure and traces of isopropyl alcohol are removed.
2. Grease all internal details with pure brake liquid.
3. Establish internal details.
4. Establish a steel ball, screw the union of pumping and establish a dustproof cap.
5. Establish dustproof covers from two parties of the working brake cylinder.
6. Establish the working brake cylinder on a brake board and fix two bolts.
7. Clear internal diameter of the working brake cylinder and an opening for supply of liquid and air removal by isopropyl alcohol. Check interfaced surfaces on absence of corrosion and local development.

Prevention

In the presence of any defects, replace the working brake cylinder assembled.


Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove brake shoes.
2. A cap wrench disconnect a brake tube, thus collect the leaked brake liquid.
3. Turn out two bolts and remove the working brake cylinder.
4. Remove dustproof covers from two parties of the working brake cylinder.
5. Pushing via the case of the working brake cylinder, remove all internal details.
6. Remove a dustproof cap, turn out the union of pumping and take a steel ball.

Inhaling moment: 10–13 N • m
7. Connect a brake tube and fix it a connecting bolt.

Inhaling moment: 12–22 N • m
8. Establish brake shoes.
9. Remove air from a hydraulic contour of brake system.
10. Check absence of leakages of brake liquid.
