7.5. Corner of an advancing of ignition

GENERAL INFORMATION

Change of installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition can be caused by two reasons: a problem with the sensor which will be found by the control unit the engine or the wrong installation of a camshaft in relation to a cranked shaft. The last problem is connected with the wrong installation of a gear belt of a drive of the gas-distributing mechanism.
No adjustment after replacement of the coil of ignition is required.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Start up the engine and warm up it to normal working temperature.
2. Switch off everything consumers of electric energy.
3. Connect to the engine a tachometer and to a high-voltage wire of the first cylinder the stroboscope sensor.
	4. On combination of labels on a pulley of a cranked shaft with the index, check a corner of an advancing of ignition. Corner of an advancing of ignition: 8 ± 5 ° to VMT (on frequency of rotation of idling)
Prevention The corner of an advancing of ignition is not regulated.
