12.5. Replacement of a protective cover of steering draft
GENERAL INFORMATION

Protective cover of steering draft
1–the nut to (replace);
2–rotary fist;
3–lock-nut;
4–tip of steering draft;
5–protective cover of the hinge of a tip of steering draft;

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift a forward part of the car and fix on support.
2. Remove a wheel.
3. Remove a plastic guard of protection of an arch of a wheel.
4. Turn a wheel to the left against the stop.
5. Take шплинт and unscrew a nut of fastening of a pin of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering bent for to a rotary fist.
Prevention

For an exception of damage of a carving of a pin, screw on a carving a temporary nut.
6. A stripper OK130 283 021 squeeze out a pin of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering draft from a rotary fist.
7. Note a relative positioning of steering draft, a lock-nut and a tip of steering draft.
8. Weaken a lock-nut of steering draft and unscrew a tip of steering draft from steering draft.
9. Fix a tip of steering draft in a vice.

10. Establish a chisel, under the corner specified in drawing.
11. Gradually, being careful and moving a chisel round the hinge, bring down a protective cover.
Prevention

Do not damage the surface of the hinge adjoining to a protective cover.
12. Cut a wire and weaken a collar of fastening of a protective cover of steering transfer.
13. Turn out a lock-nut from steering draft.
14. Shifting on steering draft, remove a protective cover of steering transfer.
15. Remove collars from a protective cover.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Put a small amount of greasing in a protective cover of a tip of steering draft.
2. A press and an opravka establish a protective cover on a tip of steering draft.
3. Fill a new protective cover of steering transfer with lubricant.

Amount of greasing: 30 g
4. Apply a thin film greasings on interfaced surfaces of a protective cover.
5. Pulling on steering draft, establish a protective cover of steering transfer. Fix the big party of a cover a wire having wrapped up it on two turns and twirl the ends of a wire 4–4,5 times.
Prevention

Be careful not to damage a wire of fastening of a cover.
6. Fix a cover from the smaller party a collar.
7. Screw a lock-nut of steering draft, and combine the labels put before a reversing of a nut.
8. Screw a tip of steering draft, and combine the labels put before a reversing of a tip.
9. Tighten a lock-nut of a tip of steering draft.

Inhaling moment: 34–50 N • m

10. Establish a pin of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering draft in a rotary fist.

11. Screw a nut of fastening of a pin, and tighten it the demanded moment.

Inhaling moment: 29–44 N • m
12. Establish шплинт.
13. Establish a plastic guard of protection of an arch of a wheel.
14. Establish a wheel.
15. Lower the car.
